Layoffs at Morgan Stanley may be announced this month and could claim 1,500 to 1,800 jobs, or about 3 percent to 4 percent of its work force.

Macy's Inc. said Monday that it's cutting 7,000 jobs - including 5,100 in its stores - and centralizing some of its corporate operations in an effort to reduce costs amid an increasingly difficult retail environment.

家的回忆

时间过得真快，一转眼就是一年了。暑假没有回家，我想爸爸妈妈想我想的该疯了。

这个假期很短暂，只有十多天。过完春节我又得马不停蹄的赶回来写论文和工作。今年是蹉跎的一年。由于去年出了些意想不到的事情，我的考试基本上都fail了。有句话说得好，if you stop today, then you have to run tommorrow. 今年得把去年丢弃的全补上，也算是提早体验名校生活了吧~自封的。

忽然间觉得自己越来越忙了，能陪着父母的时间越来越少了—我第一次发现了这个问题，并且觉得很严重。一直以来都不曾为这个问题伤感过，甚至觉得人长大就是要为了离开父母，这真傻。我想到我将来会到国外，会整天忙于工作，那样的话我就没时间经常回家了。不由得想起上大学之前，每天都可以吃家里的饭菜和水果，热腾腾的汤，排骨，鸡蛋炒槐花，番茄豆腐...每一样都那么清晰的浮现在我的眼前。的确是我没吃中午饭，饿了—我饿的时候却没有家里的饭菜在旁边。

这真是一个矛盾。事业和家庭分居两地。我要常回家看看，毕竟爸妈已经过了将近半个世纪。

并不是一无所有—internet也不坏

人们总是买回一大兜东西，却还抱怨着自己一无所有；似乎购物和花钱仅仅是满足发泄的欲望而没有任何目的性。更加令人恼火的是，这种血拼得到的瞬间满足感消失之快，以至于第二天早上我们只能无可奈何的看着那些被我们带回来的“一无是处”的家伙而持续low spirit。没头脑的购物狂不仅仅是女人—物质的泛滥和更多的选择，让我们总是带着一种尝新鲜的心理去消费，想要不遗余力地找出那个best choice...实际上，我想，best choice是不存在的—和你有没有钱无关。如果真的有所谓的best choice, 也是相对的吧，那叫做：best match。

我是个宅女，也不善于跟人打交道。有了问题我会尽量想办法自己解决，迫不得已去请教别人让我有些尴尬。于是千方百计研究搜索引擎，现将心得分享如下：

www.ask.com 不知道为什么，ask搜出来的东西都是我想要的，而不会像google和baidu这么不靠谱。唯一的缺点是：比较慢

www.dmoz.org 有人不喜欢用输入单词去搜索，而喜欢用分类。那么dmoz绝对是最佳选择，分类太棒了。

www.search.com 800多种专业搜索引擎和数据库，分为商业金融、娱乐、健康医药、新闻媒体、评论、计算机、游戏、国际、寻人、购物、下载、政府、音乐、参考资料、旅行共15个大主题，每个大主题又分许多小主题。唯一的缺点也是：慢，且经常打不开。
